Upcoming Oslo Lodge Meetings

Oslo Lodge hopes to see you at one of our next meetings or events at our regular meeting location, Northminster Presbyterian Church in North Syracuse. Click here for a map and directions!

• February 12th 1:30 "Annual Sweetheart Dinner", Carnegie Café, Maplewood Inn, 400 7th North St, Liverpool, NY. It was lots of fun last year and it promises the same this year. Carnegie Café serves a delicious buffet: garden salad, rolls; Chicken Francais; Carnegie Potatoes; meatballs and sauce; pasta with Vodka Sauce; squash medley; dessert and soda, coffee or tea. Other beverages may be purchased at the bar. Please bring a photo of your sweetheart, (wedding, prom, pets or childhood photos, etc.) but do not identify names. Let's keep some suspense in the air until the guessing is finished! Contact Lorraine (315-652-5527) for additional details. Paid reservations must be made by February 6th. Adults, $20; 12 & under, $11.95; 5 and under are free. Make checks payable to Oslo Lodge and mail to Lodge Treasurer Mike McCadam, 103 Simmons Terrace, Syracuse, NY 13219. • Sunday March 18th 1:30 Vikings & Nordic World. Northminster Presbyterian Church, 7444 Buckley Road, North Syracuse. Coffee is ready by 1:00. This is one of our best programs all year. Please plan to take part and do not miss it. There will be info and opportunity to begin your Viking costume and learn some Viking combat steps. There will also be an interesting video. There's something for everyone!
• Sat. April 14th Zone 4 Scholarship Dinner at Land of the Vikings. 5:00 Social hour; 6:30 dinner. All seven lodges gather to celebrate our youth with a delicious dinner and interesting program. Please see Lorraine Bentley or Mike McCadam for more information and to make reservations.
• Sunday May 20th 1:30 pm Land of the Vikings. Join Oslo Lodge along with other area lodges to commemorate Norwegian Constitution Day. Wear your Nordic best and march in our village parade at 1:30. Enjoy a traditional lunch along with ice cream at 2, There is fun and games for all. We may also have a Viking ship! From SYRACUSE area: Route 81S to Binghamton to Route 17E to Hale Eddy Rd (Mile marker 278). Continued below*.

From UTICA area: Route 8 South to Route 17 East to Hale Eddy Rd (Mile marker 278). Continued below*.

* NEXT: Turn right onto Hale Eddy Road. Cross the RR tracks & bridge. After the bridge turn right. Go 1/2 mile to end of road and turn left onto River Rd (there is a cemetery on your right). Follow River Road 4-5 miles to the Land of the Vikings.

Directions to St. Olaf's Chapel (from Old Forge--use map below if you need directions there):

Follow Route 28 northbound out of Old Forge to Inlet (approximtely 10 miles). Once in Inlet, watch for South Shore Road, the first street on the right past the post office (on the right). The intersection is also next to Inlet Department Store and Kalil's Grocery. Follow South Shore for 2.5 miles. You'll see a sign for Brynilsen’s Camp Monroe Viking Village on the right. St. Olaf's Chapel is directly across the road.
